As I've mentioned elsewhere, I'm a former criminal lawyer; now writer, legal journalist, lecturer and magician.

 

I like to keep my fingers in several pies - too many, probably, for my own good. On the other hand, they say variety is the spice of life - which should make mine rather hot stuff.  I recently calculated that I now have more letters after my name than in it. I'm not sure that's much of a claim to fame, but, for the record, I have a law degree (LLB, with Honours), a first-class arts degree (BA, with Honours), and a Diploma in European Humanities.

 

I'm also a member of Equity,  the British Ring of the International Brotherhood of Magicians and the world-famous Magic Circle - a club which boasts Prince Charles as a member. (Though I don't suppose he ever mentions that I'm in it, too.)

 

In 2010 I took and passed (with a Distinction)  my PCertLAM (a speech and drama qualification) with the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art - the oldest drama school of its kind in the world.  So I vaguely know how to talk.  Sort of...
